What causes acne? While genetics may predispose someone to developing acne in the first place, along with lifestyle factors and the environment playing a role, acne often stems from imbalances within the body. Factors such as inflammation, a disrupted microbiome, hormonal imbalances, and dietary choices can all contribute to the development and persistence of acne.

As an integrative health practitioner, I strive to heal the skin using a holistic philosophy, addressing the underlying root causes rather than merely suppressing symptoms over the short-term.
